In the GOLDENSANDS sim I found a skybox mall with 2 bots sitting at desks wearing police tags, and someone standing with a mall tag near some random money givers (he was essentially camping). In a skybox club I found 2 bot bouncers, a bot DJ/manager, 2 bot dancers and a bot on a dance pole, all with nearly-identical, nearly-empty profiles.
This visit happened at about 2 am SLT, Wednesday, August 13, 2008.
I found two live people on the beach in the Insignia sim and about a dozen campers at the other end of the island. In a reversal of how it's usually done, the campers have a nice beach and the store they're supporting is in a skybox.
Okay, so half the sim is still camping, but...half isn't! The Japanese sim of KanazawaSLing hosts a Camp Ma$ter with a daily limit of L$20. There were eight avatars standing admiring it; 5 of them were being paid.
There's a casino in the Heaven On Earth sim called Heaven Games. I found 10 avatars there. As far as I can tell, one of them was playing a game, two were being paid for camping, four were camping but not being paid, and three were standing about doing nothing. Perhaps they failed to notice they aren't signed in. You have to have the group tag active.
How many ways can a place be tacky? Come to the southern mainland sim of Cuscus to find out! I swear, I didn't stage or manipulate the snapshot under the cut.
The Kolkata sim hosts two casinos, and at the time of my visit had 16 avatars present. One casino sports Camp Ma$ter, but it's turned off. Nobody's there. The other sports Anywhere Camping and has, as far as I can tell, 12 people using it, including two who are in front of games but not playing.
The TokyoZERO Shop 01 sim had 33 avatars in it, dispersed widely. This is camping. All of it. On benches and ladders, mostly, but there's also a musician, and one I haven't seen before, someone was being paid to use a pay phone.
The twelve avatars I found in the ERE Pantalica sim were inside a ring of stores. Nine of them were amusing themselves staring at a rotating yellow sign (pictured under the cut), though if they chose they could have sat in a ring of chairs, or even danced at the Pantalica club. This camping system is one of those that allow you to wander. It encourages you to "walk and visit" (i.e. shop at the stores, visit the casino), but as you can see from the icon, nobody here was cooperating.
The 21 avatars I found this evening in the Liberty Land sim were all bots. One in a L$10 store that re-sells transferrable items, I think, and 20 in a skybox over a casino.
