A couple days ago I made my first random visit, starting on the mainland in the Helicanus sim. The crowd was in the Escorts Tropic Lounge. There were about 15 people there. The empty Escorts Tropic Mall is out front.
The only one speaking was the DJ, through his stream, which was playing some aggressive 90's rock music, and also through a scripted object. Some things he said appeared in text chat normally, but most were shouted through an object (the text appeared in green). It was ascii art chat gestures and some other really odd things. Here's a sample:

He said he's a radio host IRL, and I can believe it. He sounds like a morning radio host. He's actually pretty good, and might do well if he'd talk to the crowd instead of about himself and his stuff. During the time I was there he talked about his great dance floor (it is cool) and his enormous...song library, and, if I recall, about how many dance poles he has. There are about twelve, each with a tip jar and a stool arranged in front of it nudie-bar style, so he seems to have big plans for the place. A few poles were being used when I visited.
The place looks pretty nice, except for the dance poles, the cage, the showers, and the walls that are lined with "rent this advertising space" signs. Oh, and there's a Camp Ma$ter sign on the front window.
The patrons wore VIP tags and were all sitting or laying on stools, couches and rails. Only a club dancer and the DJ were on the dance floor. During the time I was there I saw someone come in and sit on a couch, and I saw another come in and touch the Camp Ma$ter sign. That's what they were doing. Camping.
There was no conversation at all during the hour I was there. I said hello a few times and was ignored. At one point I asked if there was anyone there and one of the VIP's said hi. She also gave me directions to find her when I asked. The DJ said he could see her just fine, and this was the only indication I ever saw that he was at his keyboard, but he didn't acknowledge my presence.
The one VIP fell silent. I offered L$100 to anyone who could name one of the Beatles. I got no takers.
The DJ's scripted, shouted text kept inviting visitors to request a song by touching some sign. I requested a song, but I didn't follow instructions. I made the request in chat. He didn't notice.
I didn't think to get a picture while I was there so I checked up on the sim a few times since and always found it mostly empty, except Friday afternoon when it looked like he was setting up for an event. I didn't see an event happen, though. I've had to settle for going back to get a picture of the place empty. Even the Camp Ma$ter was turned off. Perhaps when I visited I saw a test-run. It was early in the morning USA time, and the DJ sounded American. At one point his voice came through both his stream and through voice chat, way out of sync. So, maybe he hasn't opened yet and the campers were there as a load test.
Well, that's how I found the place, so I'm calling this one Bots and Campers.
This visit happened between 4 and 5 am SLT, Thursday, July 17, 2008.
